Panoramic glass sunroof.

Flooding the cabin with light, the twin-panel panorama glass roof provides shade and insulation from the wind, and offers relief from heat and external noises, all at the touch of a button.

LED Daytime Running Lamps with dusk sensing headlamps.

At dusk, or when encountering low light levels such as in tunnels or underground car parks, i40’s headlamps automatically turn on. And LED Daytime Running Lamps enhance safety by making your i40 more visible to other drivers.

Solar glass with tinted rear privacy glass.

Solar control glass with a privacy tint applied from the B-pillar backwards not only keeps prying eyes at bay, it also reduces and moderates cabin temperatures, keeping everyone inside happy.

LED rear combination lamps.

Large, wraparound rear combination lamps are sculpted and use an LED array for maximum brightness, saving energy and enhancing safety. By lighting up a split second faster than conventional lamps, they alert the following driver sooner.

Proximity Smart Key technology enables you to unlock and lock your i40 without taking the key from your pocket, and then turn on the engine by simply pushing the start button with the brake pedal depressed. Too easy.

Performance features.

2.0 GDi petrol engine.

The i40 Tourer is available with a 2.0 litre Nu 2.0 Gasoline direct-injection (GDi) engine with Continuously Variable Valve Timing (CVVT).

1.7 CRDi Diesel engine.

The i40 is available with a 1.7 litre U-II engine featuring smart common rail turbo Diesel technology.

Paddle shifters.

Paddle shifters enable fingertip up- and down-shifting for even greater control and a sportier driving feel.

Tested and tuned in Australia.

To deliver luxury sedan handling with Australian comfort and dependability, i40 was subjected to a 12-month localisation and tuning program, over thousands of kilometres across urban, country and outback roads and surfaces.

Safety features.

5 star ANCAP Safety.

Good looks and world-class performance mean very little if they put people at risk. Your safety is our number one priority, which is why every car in the i40 range has achieved the maximum 5-Star ANCAP safety rating.

Lane Keeping Assist System (LKAS).

A camera mounted on top of the windshield enables Genesis to recognise the markings on the lane you’re driving in and, if it detects an unintended departure, initiates an alert to the driver.

Emergency Stop Signal (ESS).

If you have to suddenly slam on your brakes, ESS will make your brake lights flash to give following traffic more warning. If you come to a complete stop, the hazard lights will flash – until you start to accelerate again.

Front and rear parking assist system.

The Smart Parking Assist System (SPAS) cleverly-hidden rear-view camera activates when reverse is selected, so you can see where you’re going on the LCD multimedia screen.
